I, Nichiren, entrust all of the teachings I have propagated throughout my life to Nikkō, Āchārya Byakuren. He should be the great guide and teacher in the spread of the essential teaching.
When the head of the nation accepts this Law, the ordination platform, or sanctuary, of Hommon-ji temple should be established at Mount Fuji.
We must wait for the proper time for this. This is what is meant by the specified ordination. My followers should abide by this document.

The order of the transmission of the Law: from Nichiren to Nikkō.
The ninth month in the fifth year of Kōan [1282], cyclical sign mizunoe-uma
Background
In this transfer document, written at Minobu in the ninth month of 1282, about one month before he passed away, Nichiren Daishonin declares that Nikkō is to follow him in the order of the transmission of the Law. Together with the transfer document written shortly afterward at Ikegami in Musashi Province, it is referred to as one of the two transfer documents. It is also referred to as The Document for Entrusting the Law that Nichiren Propagated throughout His Life.
The Daishonin designates Nikkō as the “great guide and teacher” and transmits all of his teachings to him for propagation after his death. He also states that a sanctuary for the true teaching of the Latter Day of the Law should eventually be built.
