Wei-chüan [維蠲] (n.d.) (PY Weijuan; Iken or Yuiken): A priest of the T’ien-t’ai school in China in the ninth century. When Ensai, a priest of the Japanese Tendai school, went to China in 839 (or 838), he brought with him a list of thirty questions (fifty according to another account) about the T’ien-t’ai teachings. Wei-chüan, along with his teacher Kuang-hsiu, answered these questions.
