heavenly being among heavenly beings ［天中天］ (, Pali devātideva;  tenchū-ten): An honorific title for a Buddha, who is held to be peerless among heavenly beings. Similar titles are applied to Buddhas to express their superior nobility and wisdom in comparison to all other beings. “The most honored of heavenly and human beings” is another such title.
