Myōmitsu [妙密] (n.d.): A follower of Nichiren (1222–1282) who lived in Kuwagayatsu in Kamakura, Japan. While little information on Myōmitsu is available, it appears that he and his wife were sincere believers in Nichiren’s teachings. The contents of The Blessings of the Lotus Sutra, a letter Nichiren addressed to Myōmitsu in 1276, indicate that the couple frequently made offerings to Nichiren at his small dwelling in the wilderness of Mount Minobu.
