Ōnichi-nyo [王日女] (n.d.): A lay follower of Nichiren. Little information about her exists, at least under this name. From the content of a letter sent to her by Nichiren in 1280, it appears that she had some connection with Nisshō, Nichiren’s first convert among the priesthood and later one of his designated six senior priests. Another view identifies her with the lay nun Myōichi, the mother of Nisshō.
