gold-wheel treasure [金輪宝] ( konrin-hō): One of the seven treasures that a gold-wheel-turning king, or an ideal ruler in ancient India, was said to possess. The seven treasures are a gold wheel, elephants, horses, jewels, jewel-like women, excellent ministers of financial affairs, and generals. A wheel-turning king possesses one of the four kinds of wheels—gold, silver, copper, and iron. A gold wheel is the most superior of the four kinds of wheels, and a gold-wheel-turning king who possesses a gold-wheel treasure rules all the four continents surrounding Mount Sumeru.
