Clarification of Doctrine, A [顕宗論] (Chin Hsien-tsung-lun; Kenshū-ron): A forty-volume work written by Samghabhadra (fourth or fifth century) of the Sarvāstivāda school in India and translated into Chinese in the mid-seventh century by Hsüan-tsang. Along with The Treatise on Accordance with the Correct Doctrine, which is also Samghabhadra’s work, this work attempts to refute Vasubandhu’s critical argument in his Dharma Analysis Treasury on the Sarvāstivāda doctrine and describe the orthodox doctrine of the Sarvāstivāda school.
