Dragon King of the Sea Sutra [海竜王経] (Chin Hai-lung-wang-ching; Kairyūō-kyō): A sutra translated into Chinese by Dharmaraksha, a monk from Tun-huang who went to China during the Western Chin dynasty (265–316). In this scripture, Shakyamuni Buddha expounds for the dragon king the teachings of the six pāramitās and the non-substantiality of all phenomena and bestows the prophecy of attaining Buddhahood on the dragon king, his daughter, the asuras, and others.
