Dictionary of the Pronunciation and Meaning of Buddhist Terms, A ［翻訳名義集］ (Chin Fan-i-ming-i-chi;  Hon’yaku-myōgi-shū): A dictionary of the Chinese transliterations and definitions of Sanskrit Buddhist terms completed in 1143 by Fa-yün. He is said to have spent some twenty years compiling the text. This Sanskrit-Chinese Buddhist dictionary contains some 2,040 entries in sixty-four sections and was considered an indispensable reference work for translators.
