Essential Works of the Fuji School, The [富士宗学要集] ( Fuji-shūgaku-yōshū): A work compiled by Nichikō (1867–1957), the fifty-ninth chief priest of Taiseki-ji, the head temple of Nichiren Shōshū (formerly known as the Fuji school) in Japan. Published in ten volumes in 1939, the work consists of major documents that he selected from his own compilation The Complete Works of the Fuji School. It includes the recorded oral teachings of Nichiren, records of debates, writings relating to doctrine, the history of the school, and other related matters.
