Fa-ch’üan [法全] (n.d.) (PY Faquan; Hassen): A priest of Esoteric Buddhism of the late T’ang dynasty (618–907) in China. He transmitted the esoteric doctrines to Jikaku and Chishō, later respectively the third and the fifth chief priest of Enryaku-ji, the head temple of the Japanese Tendai school, when they journeyed to China (Jikaku in 838 and Chishō in 853). He wrote many treatises on Esoteric Buddhism.
