Fa-pao [法宝] (n.d.) (PY Fabao; Hōbō): A priest of the early T’ang dynasty (618–907) in China. He contributed to the translation of Buddhist scriptures as one of Hsüan-tsang’s major disciples. He also wrote The Annotations on “The Dharma Analysis Treasury.” This work is considered one of the three major annotations on The Dharma Analysis Treasury, along with two others written by P’u-kuang and Shen-t’ai.
