six new disciples of Nikkō [新六] ( shin-roku): Six priests to whom Nikkō, Nichiren’s immediate disciple and successor, entrusted the task of propagation after his death. Nikkō selected them in 1332, one year before his death, when he was residing at Omosu Seminary in Fuji District of Suruga Province.
