sumanā ［須摩那・須曼那・蘇摩那］ (, Pali;  shumana, shumanna, or somana): Also, sumanas. A shrub with fragrant light yellow flowers, from which a fragrant oil was extracted. Buddhist scriptures mention sumanā oil and sumanā fragrance among the offerings made to the Buddha. Sumanā is thought to be a variety of jasmine.
