Sun Moon Pure Bright Virtue ［日月浄明徳仏］ ( Chandra-sūrya-vimala-prabhāsa-shrī;  Nichigatsu-jōmyōtoku-butsu): A Buddha mentioned in the “Medicine King” (twenty-third) chapter of the Lotus Sutra. That chapter describes him as having expounded the Lotus Sutra to Bodhisattva Medicine King when Medicine King was carrying out ascetic practices in a past existence as a bodhisattva named Gladly Seen by All Living Beings.
