Sunlight ［日光菩薩］ ( Sūryaprabha;  Nikkō-bosatsu): One of the two bodhisattvas who attend Medicine Master Buddha, the other being Moonlight. Bodhisattva Sunlight attends on Medicine Master’s left, and Bodhisattva Moonlight, on his right. According to the Medicine Master Sutra, these two bodhisattvas are leaders of the innumerable bodhisattvas in the pure land of Medicine Master Buddha and are upholders of all the Buddha’s teachings.
