Sutra of Verses ［出曜経］ ( Udāna-varga; Chin Ch’u-yao-ching;  Shutsuyō-kyō): A work translated into Chinese by Chu Fo-nien in the late fourth century. It consists of instructive verses and accompanying prose-style anecdotes concerning the points made in verse. For example, a verse on falsehood is followed by the anecdote in prose of a woman named Chinchā who tied a tub to her belly under her robe and publicly declared that she was pregnant by Shakyamuni.
